No. The association is open to everyone who values this place – church affiliation is not a requirement, neither for a donation nor for membership.
Whatever suits you: one-off or regular. There is no minimum – and regularity helps us most with planning.
Directly into preserving the Erlöserkirche, above all the interior renovation of the church building. We disclose what is planned and what happens – the “What Is Being Restored” page gives an overview.

Good to Know
The association pools support for the preservation of the church building and provides impetus. Decisions about the building are made by the church parish. Both work closely together – but are clearly separate.
No. The collection during services goes to the church parish. Contributions via this website go to the friends' association – and thus directly into preserving the building.

On the big tasks in the interior – from the microphone and hearing-assistance system (around €50,000) to the vaults, windows and chancel. The current status is shown on the “Our Projects” page.

Yes – guided tours are possible on request, and on Open Monument Day (every September) the doors are open to everyone, all the way up to the tower rooms.
For €3 each at the “Viktoriagarten” bookshop (Geschwister-Scholl-Straße) and at “Internationales Buch” (Brandenburger Straße) – as well as at our events.
On 5 September 2026 at 5 pm: the benefit concert of the youth symphony orchestra of the Potsdam music school with guests from the twin city of Opole.
