(1) The association bears the name “Verein zur Erhaltung der Erlöserkirche Potsdam e. V.”.
(2) Er hat seinen Sitz in Potsdam und ist im Vereinsregister des Amtsgerichts Potsdam unter der Nummer VR 1769 P eingetragen.
(3) The financial year is the calendar year.
(1) The purpose of the association is to promote the preservation and care of the built fabric of the Erlöserkirche Potsdam as a building of cultural and heritage significance.
(2) The purpose set out in the statutes is realised in particular through raising donations and contributions, informing the public and supporting preservation measures on the building.
(1) The association exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes within the meaning of the section “Tax-privileged purposes” of the German Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung).
(2) The association acts selflessly; it does not primarily pursue its own economic purposes. The association's funds may only be used for the purposes set out in the statutes.
(3) Members receive no benefits from the association's funds. No person may be favoured by expenses alien to the purpose of the association or by disproportionately high remuneration.
(1) Any natural or legal person may become a member. Membership of the church parish is not a prerequisite.

The bodies of the association are the board and the general meeting.
(1) The board consists of the chairperson and further board members elected by the general meeting.
(2) The association is represented in and out of court by two board members jointly (board within the meaning of Section 26 of the German Civil Code, BGB).
(1) The general meeting takes place at least once a year. It is convened in writing by the board, stating the agenda.
(2) Each member has one vote. Resolutions are passed by a simple majority of the votes cast, unless these statutes provide otherwise.
The general meeting elects an auditor, who audits the accounts once a year and reports to the meeting.
(1) The dissolution of the association is decided by the general meeting.
(2) Upon dissolution of the association or discontinuation of its tax-privileged purposes, the assets pass to a tax-privileged body, which must use them directly and exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of these statutes.
