Association for the Preservation of the Erlöserkirche Potsdam
Activities
Anyone committed to a building also wants to experience it – and other buildings too. That is why we organise viewings, guided tours and talks: accessible, open to everyone, with no prerequisites.
What Is Possible
Much of this is available on request – just get in touch.
The building and its history up close – with commentary on architecture and restoration.
The acoustics are unique for organs, choirs, orchestras and chamber music.
An unusual setting for shared experiences, reflection and getting things done – on request also for companies and clubs.
Every year in September, doors open that are otherwise locked – all the way up to the tower rooms. Free admission. Further viewing dates on request.
Rückblick & Ausblick
Looking Back · February 2026
Our members visited the building of the Berlin Regional Court II and the Local Court Mitte near Alexanderplatz. A knowledgeable court officer led us through the history and architecture of a building only a few years younger than our Erlöserkirche.
Looking Back · September 2025
On Open Monument Day the tower rooms were opened – with the historic bell “Auguste Viktoria” from the original furnishings and traces of the bells that once hung in the Garnisonkirche.
Outlook
The next joint excursions are being planned. Do you have a place in mind that would suit us? We welcome every idea.
Whether a guided tour, a group visit or an idea for the next excursion – write to us. And if you would like to be part of it permanently: membership starts at €30 a year.
